Recently two members of our staff at The Beehive Aisling and Orna, went to London in June to do the Colour Innovative Course at the Aveda Academy. The courses are detailed below.

The Beehive Hair Salon is partnered with Aveda and as part of this, Aveda provide “The Aveda Education Academy” to help keep Aveda salon staff in touch with the newest and latest styles, techniques and products from Aveda for their customers.

The courses included the following:

Hair Colour Systems:
This one day course focused on basic hair colour theory, colour composition and hair colour categories. Aisling also learned the necessary procuct knowledge on the Aveda Full Spectrum Hair Colour System.

Hair Colour Solutions:
This one day course focused on basic hair colour theory – as it relates to corrective colour. Aisling learned how to balance, colour cleanse and pre-colour using the Aveda Full Spectrum range. This course also covered the significance of a proper hair colour consultation and home maintenance recommendations.

Innovative Cutting:
Building on basic skills, this two day course taught Orna innovative cutting techniques. The course taught participants how to ‘think outside of the box’ and encourage that passion to motivate, challenge and connect with creativity.
